Space and Global Security of the Humanity International Symposium will Take Place in Riga in July

The second International Symposium Space and Global Security of the Humanity will Take Place in Riga, Latvia, on July 5-9, 2010.
The forum is intended for various discussions on political, legal, organizational and engineering aspects of the MAKSM project (international global natural and industrial emergency aerospace monitoring system).
The agenda will cover MAKSM concept and scientific research to be carried out for MAKSM implementation.
MAKSM supporting public committee will also hold its meeting during the symposium. The committee was founded as a result of the first Space and Global Security of the Humanity Symposium which took place on Cyprus in Nov. 2009.
The symposium is co-chaired by Valery Menschikov, Vice-President of the Russian Space Academy, Director of the Space System R&D company.
The Symposium is organized by International Astronautics Academy and Russian Space Academy, and supported by Russian Federal Space Agency and MFA.
